Directions to the Hoedown

 

From San Jose/San Francisco/Oakland From Santa Cruz
1. Take I-880 South which becomes CA 17 South towards Santa Cruz 1. Take Graham Hill Rd off of Ocean St at the Denny's towards Felton
2. When you get to Scott's Valley, exit at the Mt Hermon Rd exit and turn right off the exit ramp onto Mt Hermon Rd 2. Go up Graham Hill Rd to the top of the hill and then it will descend into Felton
3. Follow Mt Hermon Rd through Scotts Valley (several traffic lights) and all the way down the little hill to Felton 3. When you pass the train tracks at Roaring Camp, turn right onto E. Zayante Rd at the next traffic light and go to step 6 of the San Jose directions on the left.
4. At the T-intersection, turn left onto Graham Hill Rd

5. At the first traffic light, turn left onto E. Zayante Rd
6. Follow E. Zayante Rd for several ~4 miles

 ( Make sure to bear right at 2 forks (W. Zayante and Lompico) !!)
 7. Turn right on Waner Way (follow it as it bends left and turn right onto bridge 3, just after row of mailboxes on right)
8. Turn right on Western States Rd
9. Drive up hill to the hoedown and park
10. DO NOT Park on the bridge or at my neighbors who have horses PLEASE!!! 

Landmarks on E. Zayante include (in order)

W. Zayante fork (stay right)
Trout Farm Inn and Zayante Fire Department (just cruise on through)
Quail Hollow (the shortcut to Ben Lomond - just cruise on through)
Lompico fork (stay right)
Zayante Market (after which the road starts curving more)
2 bridges (first one just after store, second one just before Waner Way)
